We literally just bought things a week before the con and M ended up being an absolutely flawless Castiel.



so i was a genius and broke my hat within an hour of finishing it

and i’m sad because i really love this hat it’s so dumb with the little wingdings and the hey

But yes Johnny is done! (aside from fixing said hat, restyling the wig, and affixing my feathers to my hood) And Gyro will be finished tomorrow! I know i’m gonna have to fix up some things after the con (including perhaps remaking the shoepants entirely) but yes for now i am happy

calling it now, someone’s going to mistake me for a My Little Pony gijinka or Hetalia something

hurf durf tonight’s progress

finished Gyro’s goggles and Johnny’s shirt! May stencil stars on the hearts at a later date but i’m on a time crunch now so i’ll leave it. For now.

Most of Gyro’s shirt is done, I just need to finish the sleeves, take it in, and hem the bottom, but seeing as my Gyro is home for Spring Break I cannot fit it to him at the moment. This explains why said shirt is so big on me. I am small. Ish.

I also painted some balls.

(also, my spine is still bruised from posing. i need to train harder)

we’re doing all star battle alts so that’s why i’m a ginger

Just a little bit of progress from today. Still need to add hearts and stripes and the hood but all the seams are nice and finished. This might be the first garment i’ve made that’s finished this well! Shh leave me with my stupid pride.

I started a new project with a friend… we’re gonna do Johnny and Gyro from Steel Ball Run and I MISSED SEWING SO MUCH

I know tonight’s progress doesn’t look like a lot but we got Gyro’s base shirt done, cut out most of the parts for Johnny’s hoodie, and also made half of the bias tape we need for the purple waffle shirt.

Honestly i’m just stupidly proud of myself for sewing an actual thing for someone and having it fit well



Aoba wig/makeup test! After a couple hours of wefting, I managed to get the light blue to look all right. 



I got my hair cut today, so I decided to do a makeup test for Piers. 

Turned out fairly well! Gotta work some kinks out, and of course get the rest of the costume (I only have the tac vest and shemagh right now)

But while I was in my bathroom taking photos I realized I look a lot like Jensen Ackles in this makeup

I’m so sorry this blog is nothing but WIP pictures. So yeah here are these. i’m gonna do a clear sealing coat over the top and i might add the text from the OP but these are basically done? When the fuck am I ever even gonna cosplay Aoba, anyway.
